Change in Personal Data

As a result, natural persons, reorded in the Slovenian central registry of population, do not need to file applications with KDD for a change in personal data, as this is done automatically.

The above stated does not apply to subjects, who are not recorded in the central population register (legal persons and natural persons, who are foreign citizens or non-residents) and natural persons, who are recorded in the central registry with a KID number and not a PIN. Thus KDD may only enter a change in their personal data on the basis of their request.

  1. Who may file the request for entry of change in personal data:

    The request for entry of change in personal data may be filed by:

    • subject who is a holder of securities or is entitled to them, in his/her own name;
    • a guardian in the name of his/her ward;
    • an authorised person in the name of the subject;
    • a registry member maintaining the subject's account (client account, portfolio account or house account), in the name of the subject.
  2. Content of the request for entry of change in personal data:

    The request for entry of change in personal data shall include:

    • personal data on the subject, which are recorded in the central registry;
    • additional or new data, whose entry is requested.

    The request shall be filed on a prescribed form as follows:


  3. Attachments to the request for entry of change in personal data: 

    If the request is filed by the subject in its own name, the following shall be attached:

    • natural person : valid passport or identity card of the country whose citizen he/she is. If all the required data are not evident from the passport or identity card, another valid relevant official document, on the basis of which the correctness of data in the request may be verified (e.g.: driving licence, certificate of permanent address, birth certificate, marriage certificate, register office's certificate of changed EMŠO (PIN) or personal name, KDD's notification of allocated KID number, certificate of the Ministry of Economy of utilised funds on the privatisation voucher account,…);
    • legal person: extract from the register of companies or from another public record in the country of its registered office, and, if it is a foreign legal subject, also KDD's notification of allocated KID number;
    • branch-office of a legal person: extract from the register of companies or from another public records of the country of its registered office, for the branch-office and the head-office, and, if it is a foreign legal subject, also KDD's notification of allocated KID number;
    • investment fund: extract from the register of companies or from another public record of the country of its registered office, (in the absence of official records, copy of the founding act and amendments to the founding act) and a copy of valid passport or identity card of the natural person (if all the required details are not evident from the passport or identity card, the same shall apply as stated in the first subparagraph) or extract from the register of companies or from another public record of the legal person, who is managing the assets (if it is a foreign legal subject, also KDD's notification of allocated KID number).

    If a guardian files the request in the subject's name, he shall attach to the request the following, in addition to the documents which refer to the ward and are listed in the preceding paragraph:

    • copy of the decision on guardianship with the certificate of its finality;
    • his own valid identity document, on the basis of which his identity may be verified.

    If an authorised person files the request in the subject's name, he shall attach to the request the following, in addition to the documents which refer to the grantor:

    • power of attorney bearing the grantor's signature, attested by notary public or at the embassy of the Republic of Slovenia;
    • his own valid identity document, on the basis of which his identity may be verified.

    The documents, attached to the request, shall show the changed personal data, which is the subject-matter of the request, and the identity of holder or entitled person whose personal data should be changed.

    If a registry member files the request in the subject's name, the documents shall be delivered to the registry member. Correctness of data, which are the subject-matter of the request, shall be verified by the registry member.


  4. How to file a request for entry of change in personal data:

    The request shall be sent to our address. 

    KDD does not notify the holder of executed change.
